Introducing the ECB-2000MFG, a unique high-performance motorsport watch created through a very special collaboration between the EDIFICE Group and Soichi Shigeno, the designer artist of the famous motorsport manga series, Initial D and MF GHOST. The Initial D Series features races through steep mountain passes. The series ran from 1995 to 2013 in Young Magazine published by Kodansha Ltd., a fan favorite with over 56 million copies sold. While MF GHOST, a street racing manga series by artist Shigno, has appeared in the same magazine since 2017, the anime series is scheduled to premiere on television in 2023. This perfect collaboration embodies the world of Initial D and the world of MF GHOST, while incorporating references To both of them in designing this winning watch. The red and black design is based on the Toyota GT86 driven by Kanata Rivington, the main character of the MF GHOST series. The base of the dial and the underside of the leather strap are stamped with the letters Gyaaa (the sound of tires grinding on the road) common to both the Initial D and MF GHOST pages. The underside of the strap also features the words “Fujiwara Tofu Shop (for private use)”, the letters familiar from the side of the Toyota AE86 driven by Takumi Fujiwara, the main character of the Initial D series. Thanks to the smartphone link function, the watch can be operated effortlessly via Bluetooth. ® Combined with the Tough Solar charging system, this high-performance chronograph watch lets you focus on the road ahead.
