Introducing the second G-SHOCK watch, the result of a collaboration with Rui Hachimura. Enjoy the durability and boldness of this premium watch inspired by professional basketball player Rui Hachimura. This watch sets a new level in the industry with its distinctive design with a polished metal frame, and it also adds a distinctive color scheme to the base model, the GM-110 analogue-digital model clad in metal, to give you a unique watch in every sense of the word. The beauty of the design begins with the case, metal belt loop and dazzling copper ion-plated buckle, complemented by yellow, green and red, the national colors of Hachimura's ancestral homeland of Benin, and then extends to the textile hands, dial and belt loops. Switch between watch bands, from the classic black band to highlight the beauty of the brass case to the premium kente* band. Hachimura's personal logo, a combination of the Japanese character eight (八) and a Japanese sword, is engraved on the belt loop and on the back of the watch case. *Kente cloth: Kente is a specially woven ceremonial cloth that is used in West Africa. Kente fabrics are decorated with traditional sayings and proverbs that show the long cultural history. About Rui Hachimura He was born on February 8, 1998 in Toyama Prefecture, Japan. After graduating from Messe High School in Miyagi Prefecture in 2016, he enrolled at Gonzaga University in the United States. As a member of the Gonzaga University basketball team, he became the first Japanese national to play in the NCAA. Hachimura is the recipient of the 2018-19 Julius Erving Award, which honors the top college offensive player in the College League for that year. Hachimura made history when he became the first player of Japanese descent to be selected to the NBA draft when he joined the Washington Wizards as a ninth-overall pick. In his first season as a starter, Hachimura played in 48 of 72 games and his stellar performance earned him a spot on the NBA All-Rookie Team.
